I must say that Kurt is a really great husband to let me take a 6 month sabbatical. I’ve stayed pretty busy through the final wedding planning, honeymoon to the South Pacific, moving to Cleveland, house hunting, training Brownie Sunday and finally moving into our new home. But now that we are finally settled I’m able to really enjoy my last few weeks of retirement before I start the job hunt. This week I had a great time in Bay Village. On Tuesday I went to the Bay Village Community Pool and really enjoyed catching up on my US Weeklys and eavesdropping on the many teenager’s conversations, I’m not sure which was more scandalous! I wish I had a picture because it is an amazing community pool, it has 2 water slides, diving boards, swimming lap lanes, lots of kid’s play areas and 15 minutes of adult swim every hour, plus it is huge. I went back on Thursday and even had the pleasure of laying out next to Casey Blake with no shirt on (you may remember him from this post).
Then on both days I headed over the Sweetbriar Golf Club in the evening to start my golf lessons. I was able to sign up through the Bay Village Rec Center for 4 golf lessons for $70, which is really a great deal and something I desperately needed. The only thing I’ve learned for certain though is that 4 lessons is not nearly enough. I may just have to stick with golf on the Wii. So it was a very relaxing and enjoyable week and I plan on spending as much time as possible at the Bay Pool up until it closes on September 1st.
