Brownie is doing great

Brownie’s surgery went really well on Wednesday. We don’t think she even knows anything happened to her. Thanks everyone for asking about her and for the nice get well gifts. It’s been a little difficult to keep her calm. She wants to run and play like always. Kurt has been such a good poppa to her while she’s recovering. He checks the stitches every day and gives her the pain medicine right on time. I just can’t take blood or anything like it. This week during our slumber party, little Katie lost a tooth and all I could do was grab her a napkin. Kurt made sure she was okay and cleaned everything up and even got her a bag so she could take the tooth home so her mom could arrange for the tooth fairy to come the next day (tooth fairies obviously don’t come to babysitter’s homes). He’s going to be a great dad one day.

So since the vet told us to keep Brownie still most of the day we decided it’s time to give her big girl bones. She loves them and will spend an entire day working on one. She also got a nice reward for her surgery. We got her a fence so she can run around in the yard all she wants when she gets better. Although anyone who has met Brownie knows she is very clingy to us and we didn’t even really need the fence because she won’t leave. She just sits by the back door waiting for us. Here are some new pictures of her after the surgery enjoying a bone in the backyard and in her new Browns hankie. She’s excited for the season to get started. Woof, Woof! She also learned how to shake last week and likes to show that trick off for treats. She’s even left-handed like her momma and poppa!
