On Wednesday and Thursday our little cousins Kaitlyn, Kamryn and Kristyn came over for our first slumber party. On Wednesday we planned on taking them to Melt for dinner but as always there was a long wait so they decided they wanted Chinese food. We headed down the street to Mrs. Beal’s favorite place, Schezuan Garden. This was the first time the girls ever had Chinese so it was fun to see them try new things. They loved it all but especially the won ton soup and sesame chicken. After dinner we headed to Mitchell’s for ice cream and then went home to watch the Olympics. They are like me and the rest of America and are in love with Michael Phelps.
Thursday we had doughnuts for breakfast, watched a little tv, made housewarming cards for their Aunt Jen in Chicago and then headed to Heinen’s grocery store to stock up on supplies for the day. The girls love to cook so they went through some cookbooks and decided they wanted to make chicken noodle soup, carrot pineapple cupcakes and strawberry smoothies. Everything turned out great and we enjoyed lunch on the patio. The last thing on the agenda was the Bay Pool!! It was a nice day and the girls loved the water slides and diving boards.
