Today our builder came to tear down the wall that is separating the dining room and family room. The opening should not only open up the whole downstairs floor plan but will also let in a lot more light. We have some reservations about if this is the right decision. The house plan was originally meant to have the home office downstairs and no formal dining room. By putting a big hole in the wall, that room really can’t go back to being an office so our 4 bedroom + office is now going to be a 3 bedroom + office (or a 4 bedroom with no office). Kurt has big dreams of one day building a 3rd floor office in the attic that will have lake views. I thought he was crazy but our builder told him that would actually be possible so now he can’t stop thinking about it.
Once the wall is done in a couple days we’ll be able to move in all our new furniture, rugs, and tv and post Before & After pictures!!
