Halloween is one of my favorite holidays (along with Christmas and my birthday) so I hope everyone has a safe night and gets lots of candy!!
This has been a busy week working on our home so we are ready to enjoy the weekend. We started off by winterizing our home on Sunday afternoon. We washed and stored the patio furniture and all the window screens. It wasn’t very fun but that’s part of being a homeowner now. It was one of the last nice days of fall and good thing we did because we woke up Monday morning to the first flurries of the year and a couple hail storms. Not only did we have the builders open a wall up in our home but we also had the plumber pay us a visit and let us know the problem with our garbage disposal has been the nails that were left in there. It cost $68 for him to spend about 3 minutes picking them out but at least we didn’t need to buy a whole new disposal.
Even Brownie had a great week. She got to go to the pet store one day and picked out new toys and a new Browns/Indians winter sweater, went letterboxing with her momma and went to her first weekly daycare session at Inn the Doghouse. She has really enjoyed playing with other dogs lately so we decided that once a week she can go to daycare and play with the other 35+ dogs there.
This weekend we plan on handing out lots of candy to trick-or-treaters (we never got to do that in the city), spending time with Kurt’s sister whose visiting for the weekend as well as Kurt’s parents who are in town for a wedding, and are really looking forward to finally going to a Sunday afternoon Brown’s game and cheering on a win over Baltimore.
