Happy Birthday Kurt

Everyone told us that once you have a kid that your own birthdays become much less important.  I didn’t want to believe it but it seems to be true.  Yesterday Kurt turned 32 and instead of going out and celebrating with our friends by drinking too much, we stayed in and had a quiet evening at home.  I made Kurt his favorite dinner (meatloaf), we ate cassata cake from Fragapane’s Bakery and we had some beers and wine.  As a nice surprise though we had our Great Uncle Dick from Philadelphia come into town and stay with us for a couple days.  Sadly, Dick was in town for his brother’s funeral but we were very happy to spend some time with him and hope to make it out to Philly again soon to visit him and Aunt Eleanor.  Henry had no idea that he even had a Great Great Uncle so he was especially happy and surprised.

    Hi Kurt and Claudia!
    Happy belated birthday, Kurt!
Henry is getting cuter by the day! What a darling video of his morning!
Claudia—I’m sorry I haven’t gotten this number to you sooner, but here is the name and phone number of the caterer we used for Catie’s shower.

Have a great baptism, and you’ll have to let me know if it turns out to be a clambake!
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we have less than two weeks before Baby Joecken arrives!!!!
    Take care! Love, Mrs. J
