Our little guy is growing up fast (and BIG)! At his 4-month checkup he got another round of shots, was weighed & measured, and they gave him the green light to start on solid foods. The shots weren’t fun but he doesn’t cry too much so it isn’t that bad to watch. He weighed in at 16 lbs, 9 oz and was 27 inches long. That’s still 80% for weight and now 97% for height. So he’s still taking after his dad. In fact Kurt was 16 lb, 10 oz and also 27 inches at his 4-month checkup almost 32 years ago.
We were going to wait awhile for solids since I plan on making his baby food and he’s obviously getting enough food from me. But the past couple weeks his sleeping pattern has been way off so the doctor suggested we give cereal a try so he gets a little more substance in his belly before bedtime. Like everything else eating related he’s a natural. We’ve started off with Happy Bellies Organic Oatmeal and he’s been eating it up while sitting in his new highchair.
Besides that he’s getting very close to sitting on his own, can stand for a few seconds propped on an ottoman, loves his jumperoo, is in desperate need of a haircut, can hold his bottle (kindof), drools all over himself, giggles and smiles at us, plays with Brownie, and best of all is starting to reach out to us when we get close to him. He gets more fun each and every day!!
